During the meeting, the two had talks over the Syrian constitutional committee and a recent UN Security Council resolution.
Referring to UNSC Resolution 2642 on humanitarian assistance to Syria, the Iranian Foreign Ministry official expressed hope that the execution of the Resolution would not experience the fate of Resolution 2585.
He also expressed hope that the humanitarian supplies should be allocated to the people throughout Syria in a fair, balanced and more transparent manner, without discrimination and political preconditions.
Both sides underlined the need for continuation of the political process in the country, urging the necessity for the constitutional committee to continue with its work.
