Briefing on his trip to Russia, Ali Salehabadi said that he had good, valuable talks with Russian officials, which led to an arrangement to prepare financial and banking grounds for sustainable expansion of ties, as presidents of both countries have underlined.
Both countries are determined to expand economic ties, Salehabadi said, adding that Tehran and Moscow will implement the agreements reached during the recent trip.
Using currencies other than the dollar and the euro would be followed up by Iran and Russia in their bilateral trades, according to the CBI governor.
He also said that Iran and Russia both have their native financial messaging systems and they aimed to use them instead of SWIFT.
