The Iranian foreign minister said the Islamic Republic has no demand beyond the scopes of the 2015 nuclear deal, noting that in the Doha talks to revive the agreement and lift the sanctions, the United States failed to provide Tehran with firm guarantees about the safeguarding of its interests.
Hossein Amirabdollahian made the remarks in an address to reporters at a joint press conference on Wednesday attended by the visiting Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
-- Iran, Kuwait sign MoU to cooperate against dust storms
Iran and Kuwait signed a memorandum of understanding in Kuwait City on Tuesday to tackle sand and dust storms, a natural hazard in the region that has increasingly been fueled by climate change.
In a statement issued after the signing ceremony, Director General of Kuwait’s Environment Public Authority Sheikh Abdullah al-Humoud al-Sabah said the agency is working extensively with countries in the region to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices, and “seeks to cooperate with all government agencies to increase green belts to reduce the effects of these dust storms,” Xinhua reported.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian voiced Iran’s support for security Amirabdollahian and stability in Uzbekistan following recent deadly unrest in the Central Asian country.
Amirabdollahian in a phone call with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Imamovich Norov denounced as unacceptable any move damaging the nation’s unity, according to the Foreign Ministry’s official website.

-- Petropars begins drilling operation in Belal gas field
Three years after signing a deal with Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) for the development of the southern Belal gas field, Petropars has finally started drilling the first descriptive-exploratory well in this field.
As announced by the company’s Managing Director Shamseddin Mousavi, the drilling operation was officially begun on Monday and a drilling rig called Deepsea Treasure, which is operated by Dana Kish Company as the sub-contractor of the project is located at the field.
