Amirabdollahian made the comment during a phone conversation with his Omani Counterpart Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.
The top Iranian diplomat said that his country is serious to achieve a lasting and strong agreement over the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal and the removal of sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
The Omani foreign minister, on his part, highlighted the need for reaching a final agreement and said that his country is always supportive of Iran’s legitimate demands being met.
Iran and the US began indirect talks last week in Qatar’s capital Doha.
The talks focused on the removal of the sanctions the US reinstated against Iran after it withdrew from the nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA, in May 2018.
Iran has time and again said that the sanctions should be fully removed in a verifiable manner and that the US should give guarantees that it will not exit the deal again.
