Following the President's visit to Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Company (HESA) in Isfahan, and his order to design and manufacture a homegrown passenger aircraft, Brigadier General Ashtiani issued a letter to Brigadier General Khajefard ordering him to follow up on the President’s orders.
Pointing to the close cooperation and synergy of all national capacities, knowledge-based companies, and headquarters, He added that as soon as possible and taking into account all the technical requirements and standards, the report on the progress of the manufacturing a homegrown passenger aircraft should be presented to the President and the Iranians.
Earlier, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi issued an order to manufacture a homegrown passenger aircraft.
President Raisi made a trip to the central province of Isfahan and visited a number of industrial, scientific, and agricultural sites.
In comments at an administrative council of the province, the president hailed Isfahan Province as an industrial, agricultural, and tourism hub of the country.
Pointing to his visit to Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA), President Raisi said he has ordered the experts at the factory to manufacture homegrown passenger planes with at least 72 seats in the near future.
