Condemning the attack, Khatibzadeh offered his condolences over the recent attack on a Nigerian catholic church to the Nigerian government and nation.
He said that such seditions among the followers of the divine religions are unacceptable.

The unidentified gunmen targeted the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state during a mass. There were children and women among the dead.
