Official stresses Iranian foreign ministry's important role in securing borders

Tehran, IRNA – Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy called on the ministry's representatives to go to the country’s border regions to identify and resolve border citizens’ problems and help boost exports.

Mehdi Safari made the remarks in a webinar with the heads of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s provincial offices.

He elaborated on government’s maximum efforts aimed at boosting country’s exports during the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), and said that it is necessary to continually monitor the status in border regions, including the customs clearance issues, exports, transportations, etc., by the Foreign Ministry provincial offices.

Safari said that the implemented and unfinished projects’ status need to be monitored by those offices.

"For instance, the joint border markets need full support of those offices, as they are most important in boosting exports to neighboring countries," he added.
