All obstacles on Iran's oil, petrochemical, steel and shipping cooperation with world countries have to be lifted, Saeed Khatibzadeh said at a local ceremony held in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on Saturday evening.
Speaking about the Vienna talks between Iran and 4+1, the spokesman said what happened in the talks was in line with preserving interests of every single Iranian.
Referring to a pause in the Vienna talks, Khatibzadeh said the European Union has asked for it, noting that Iran was trying to resume the talks and make the US accept its conditions.
Any negotiation has a framework and the Iranian negotiating team has a clear one in Vienna, the spokesman stressed adding that the country is after safeguarding nation’s and government’s economic interests.
The Foreign Ministry is Iran’s player in the talks , and this is Supreme National Security Council of Iran that takes decision, he underlined.
Turning to the issue of war in Ukraine, the spokesman said the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has declared Iran’s stance on the issue.
Iran is against war, rejects it, and believes that war is not a solution, he added.
