The ceremony was characterized by a style of southern Iranian poetry reading, called Sharveh-Khani, in which the reciter or singer chants two-couple poems in a special style of singing called Dashti.
In the ceremony which was organized by Hendiral International Group, Indian poets Dr. Ghiyasud-Din, Ali Asghar al-Haydari, Fatima Zargham, Muslim Asadullah and Mahdi Baqer Khan as well as Indian poets Ali Houshmand, Iraj Qanbari, Alireza Hekmati, Mostafa Mohaddesi Khorasani, Masoud Alavi and Fatemeh Nazeri recited two-couplets.
Elsewhere in the ceremony, Sharveh-Khani clips from well-known singers were played and some books authored by Faez Dashti and some books about him were introduced.
Dashti, where Faez was born, is a county in the southern Iranian province Bushehr.
Faez is the greatest Persian two-couplet composer after the 11th century Persian poet Baba Taher.
