Mehdi Rezaei, insurance and health deputy in Iran Health Insurance Organization, said on Wednesday that the organization has provided all requirements for the refugees in Iran to enjoy health insurance services.
The refugees referred by Bureau for Aliens and Foreign Immigrants Affairs of Iran’s Foreign Ministry are offered insurance in two categories: vulnerable group (paid by the UNHCR) and non-vulnerable group (self-paid), according to Rezaei.
He also said that all refugees suffering from special diseases, including hemophilia, thalassemia, dialysis, kidney implantation, and MS, are offered the same health and therapeutic protocols as Iranian citizens and are exempt from deductibles.
