Some of Abyar’s works will be screened in the festival and an expert workshop will be held in her presence.
According to official website of the event, “The theme of the 5th International Woman Filmmakers Festival which will take place between February 27th and March 14th 2022 in Izmir is set as 'Boundaries'. This specific theme is not required for movies which will be competing in national and international segment; all authentic movies that reflect woman point of view will be accepted for the competition.”
With her movies 'Track 143' and 'When the Moon Was Full', Abyar passed Iranian cinema borders and received the prestigious international awards.
She had earlier received the HUM Women Leaders Award which aiming to recognize and honor the contributions and achievements of iconic women from Pakistan and around the world who are change-makers in their respective fields and act as a symbol and source of hope, courage, determination, and inspiration for women across the globe.
