Ali Habibollahzadeh made the request in a meeting with the Romanian Ambassador to Iran Mirela-Carmen Grecu, after consultations with the ambassador on ways to assist the Iranian students and residents in Ukraine who wish to return back to Iran.
Habibollahzadeh said that the safe return to the Iranian citizens, from Ukraine is the main concern of the Iranian government and asked Romania to assist Iran in materializing that objective by facilitating the safe passage of the Iranian students and residents through that country.
The Romanian ambassador said that understands Tehran’s worries, especially those of the Iranian students and citizens’ families and Bucharest is ready to assist them pass through Romania towards Iran.
“The Romanian government will also provide any needed facilities for the purpose,” the ambassador added.
