Iran, Kazakhstan agree to plan for expansion of cooperation

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber in a meeting with Khazakh deputy prime minister on Tuesday said that Iran was ready to expand ties with Kazakhstan by preparing an operational plan.

Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Bakhyt Sultanov met with Mokhber on Tuesday in Tehran.

Mokhber highlighted the necessity of elevating cooperation and transactions between Iran and Kazakhstan in the fields of trade, economy, industry, agriculture and mining, calling for increased activity by joint commissions.

He also said that holding joint exhibitions would help the private sector in both countries to identify opportunities and capacities.

The first vice president also mentioned SCO, ECO and EAEU organizations and urged support for private sectors of member-states to increase trade transactions between their businesspeople and entrepreneurs.

The senior Kazakh official welcomed President Ebrahim Raisi's foreign policy to expand ties with neighboring countries and emphasized holding joint commission meetings and specialized exhibitions.

The Kazakh deputy prime minister also criticized anti-Iran sanctions.
