Sattari who was accompanying Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardar Omar Zakov on a visit to the Permanent Exhibition of Iranian Technologies, addressed the opening of a new chapter in cooperation with neighboring countries.
He pointed out that the development of innovative and creative economy is one of Iran's priorities and one of the axes of interaction with the neighboring countries, as well as in the international arena, products, services and technologies offered by knowledge-based and creative companies.
Iran's vice president for science and technology said that Iran has the best knowledge-based companies in the region in the field of biotechnology, more than 98% of Iran's medicines are home-made with the efforts of knowledge-based companies.
Referring to the role of the new generation of entrepreneurs and young people in Iran's economy, Sattari said that the technology and innovation ecosystem has been developed by educated and creative Iranian youth and a small part of their achievements in a variety of technologies have been introduced, from laboratory, medical and specialized equipment to oil, gas and petrochemical products, achievements that can be the focus of joint cooperation.
During the visit, Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology emphasized the need to establish a joint committee to develop bilateral ties.
