Iran slams suppressing peaceful protests in Canada

Tehran, IRNA - Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary General of the Islamic Republic of Iran's High Council for Human Rights Kazem Gharibabadi condemned suppressing peaceful protests in Canada.

“Peaceful protesters in the so-called Land of the Free are shushed, and guess what? Nobody ever dares to talk about egregious human rights violations taking place on a daily basis in Canada. Well, the critics may have been shushed, too!,” Gharibabadi wrote in his Twitter account on Monday.

The Freedom Convoy, movement in Canada started to protest against mandatory vaccination for truck drivers to pass through borders to Canada since January 29.

The Canadian police arrested 191 protestors on Sunday.
