Speaking to IRNA, Shabanov described Iran as a capable country in the Middle East, saying the Russian officials have paved the way for Raisi's visit and both sides have made extensive efforts in this regard.
He noted that Iranian and Russian presidents will discuss bilateral relations in commercial, economic, scientific, and technological fields.
He said the two sides are expected to pay special attention to projects in peaceful nuclear energy, oil and gas, transportation and industrial fields.
Raisi and Putin will also discuss regional cooperation in the framework of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and fighting terrorism.
