FM Amirabdollahian in China to discuss Iran-China 25-year deal

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian arrived in Wuxi Thursday afternoon local time to hold talks with Chinese authorities on Iran-China 25-year strategic cooperation program.

Heading a high-ranking political delegation, FM Amirabdollahian landed at Wuxi Airport in Jiangsu Province, China.
Amirabdollahian underlined that the Iranian delegation will hold talks with Chinese officials on political bilateral ties as well as the way to implement agreements between the two nations in economic field.
The Iranian foreign minister has started the visit to China at an official invitation by his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
The Iranian top diplomat is going to discuss the latest situation of Iran-China 25-year strategic cooperation program with his Chinese counterpart in a Friday meeting.
The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Islamic Republic of Iran and People's Republic of China is a 25-year cooperation agreement on the further development of Iran–China relations signed in Tehran by the Chinese and Iranian foreign ministers on 27 March 2021.
According to the strategic plan, China is to invest 400 billion dollars in Iran's economy over a 25-year period in exchange for a steady supply of Iranian oil.
The program has also three dimensions: partnership instead of competition, strategic long-term ties instead of short-term relations, and multilateral ties.
