According to the La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are reportedly considering making an offer for FC Zenit star striker, Sardar Azmoun this January
Bianconeri’s dire need for an attacking player rises significantly following Federico Chiesa’s injury. The Italian international has practically ended his season early after picking up an ACL injury last weekend.
Although Juve are looking for a new striker before Chiesa’s injury, the incident might change the type of attacker they’re after. As reported by Sky Sport’s Gianluca Di Marzio (via Juventusnews24), the Old Lady are now eyeing a flexible striker.
Previously, Juve’s management is planning to get a center forward with Mauro Icardi being the favorite. However, right now, they are pondering a move for Zenit’s Azmoun.
Considering his contract will end in June 2022 and he has no intention of renewing his deal, Azmoun could be an option and the problem is that Juve might not have the finance to get anyone in a permanent move.
Bianconeri’s financial problem is limiting its ability to make many moves in the market this month. For now, Juve can only sign players on loan without any obligation to buy.
