In an interview with IRNA on Tuesday, Mohammad Sarwar, the former captain and Secretary of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation confirmed that Iran, Sri Lanka, and probably India would be invited for the friendly matches.
"We look forward to the participation of our Iranian friends and we have plans to hold friendly matches in Pakistan in the future,” he said.
He added we will also be in touch with India to hold a series of friendly matches in Lahore to prepare for the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.
Kabaddi suffered a lot during the last couple of years due to COVID-19. Due to government's ban on full-body contact sports, PKF could not hold any event.
In February 2020 Pakistan hosted Kabaddi World Cup with teams from ten countries including Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran secured third place in the tournament by defeating Australia.
