Iran rescues 11 Indian crew after vessel accident

Bandar Abbas, IRNA – Jask County acting Governor Ali Mehrani said on Wednesday that the Iranian marine forces have rescued 11 crew members of an Indian vessel.

Mehrani said that the vessel, which was carrying a sugar load, was headed to the Port of Sohar, Oman, which has shifted towards Iranian waters due to storms, weather conditions, and technical defects.

Stating that the general condition of the crew members is good, he noted that the vessel went down four miles from Gabrik, Jask, and sank due to a fracture.

Jask County is located 400 km east of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormuzgan Province.
