Judiciary Chief urges legal persecution of Gen. Soleimani's assassins

Tehran, IRNA – Iran's Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei said on Monday that the administration, the Judiciary, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs should use all legal capacities to prosecute the criminals who assassinated General Qasem Soleimani in international and domestic courts and organizations.

Mohseni Ejei praised Attorney General and Tehran's Attorney for filing criminal and legal lawsuits on the assassination of General Soleimani and his comrades and holding meetings with Iraqi legal officials on the issue.

General Soleimani and former Iraqi Mobilization Unit Forces commander Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis along with eight other companions were assassinated by the US army in a terrorist drone attack on January 3, 2020.

The attack was carried out at the direct order of former US President Donald Trump.
