Iran, Oman call for broadening of bilateral ties

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Albusaidi in a phone conversation on Sunday underlined the need for expanding mutual cooperation at international scenes.

The Iranian and Omani foreign ministers both agreed on the need for continuous bilateral consultations, as well as cooperation at the international scenes.

During the phone talk, Amirabdollahian also conveyed the best wishes of the Iranian president for the sultan of Oman and exchanged viewpoints with his Omani counterpart on bilateral ties and regional developments.

He also expressed hope to have the opportunity to visit Muscat as soon a possible.

Oman's foreign minister, for his part,, expressed full satisfaction over the positive and ever increasing Tehran-Muscat relations.

He declared that the Sultanate of Oman has always believed in the need for negotiations in problem resolving and paves the diplomatic and peace path as a permanent strategy.
