Maulana Abdul Khubair Azad, chairman of Ruet-i-Hilal Committee expressed these views in during a meeting with the Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Hamid Shahriari in Lahore on Friday.
"Two neighboring countries enjoy historical and friendly ties and are united in countering divisive actions,” he noted.
Jafar Ronas, the Director of Iranian Culture Center was also present on the occasion.
Maulana Abdul Khubair Azad said keeping in view the friendly ties between Iran and Pakistan we hope that both countries together will overcome the challenges faced by Muslims.
Shahriari in his remarks said famous Islamic scholar and philosopher Allama Iqbal Lahori had developed the idea of rapprochement and unity in Muslims of sub-continent.
He added Allama Iqbal Lahori's poems are another factor of friendship between the two nations of Iran and Pakistan.
He was of the view that thinking of Iqbal Lahori, who was the unifier of Muslims, should be spread among the people of Iran and Pakistan.
Molavi Nazir Ahmad Salami, Member of Iranian Assembly of Experts a member of Iranian delegation said the enemies seek to plunder Muslim resources by creating divisions.
Prior to this meeting, Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Shahriari and his delegation visited the tomb of Allama Iqbal Lahori to pay homage to this famous Persian poet of Pakistan and then visited different parts of Lahore’ historic Badshahi Mosque.
