The new cycle of sending Iranian pilgrims to Syria will be activated as of next week after the Syrian side's approval of Tehran's political representative in Damascus, Rashidian said at a meeting on planning for pilgrimage.
Speaking about the Hajj rituals, the official said the country is ready for dealing with possible scenarios due to the coronavirus pandemic.
About the annual Hajj, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs Hojjatoleslam Abolfattah Navvab has expressed hope that it will be held through proper planning by the host country and participation of pilgrims from the countries.
The annual Hajj is a major religious duty for Muslims.
