JCPOA negotiating teams trying to overcome media hype

Tehran, IRNA - Amid negotiations between Iran and the P4+1 group (Britain, France, Russia, China plus Germany), certain Western elements are laboring to create media hype, but negotiating teams have shown in fourth day of Vienna talks that they are trying to overcome the destructive propaganda campaign.

Certain Western media claimed that the second phase of the seventh round of talks in Vienna, Austria, to discuss lifting sanctions and nuclear issues is coming to a halt, while an informed source close to the Iranian negotiating team ruled out the claim, saying that the delegations continue discussions on Iran's proposals.

The source also noted that the European trio insist on their excessive demand; therefore, the talks are continued in a slow pace, but the negotiations have not come to a halt.

It seems that such a propaganda campaign is aimed at putting pressure on the Iranian negotiating team to succumb to the demands proposed by the West, which are not related to the contexts of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi underlined that Tehran is firm to reach a good agreement, which guarantees removal of sanctions, adding that some observers claimed that the Islamic Republic will not negotiate and some others alleged that Iranians will not participate in serious talks, but the draft texts submitted to the P4+1 proved that Iran is ready and serious to take part in a respectable negotiation.

Now after four days of talks in Vienna, the atmosphere of negotiation is rational, because Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani noted that all sides are serious to defend their own interests and put forward their reasoning, but such an attitude should not disrupt negotiations.

The Western parties have tried to lead the talks to stalemate, but Iran's steadfastness defused the attempts and paved the way for resuming negotiations in a more positive atmosphere.

The Islamic Republic has dispatched a unified delegation of economic and technical experts to prove that Tehran is serious and does not seek to waste time in the Vienna talks.

Russia's envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mikhail Ulyanov dismissed analysts and media reports that claim the Vienna talks have come to standstill, noting that the negotiations continue in a positive atmosphere.

President Raisi underlined that Iran is prepared to reach a good agreement if the other side is determined to lift sanctions.
