-- SNSC chief: US, allied invaders must compensate for damages on Afghan people

Iran’s security chief said the United States and its coalition allies must be held accountable for the myriad crises Afghanistan is facing today, adding the “least responsibility” they bear is to compensate for all the damages they have inflicted on the Afghan people over the past two decades.

-- Vienna talks to focus on US sanctions removal; nuclear issue negotiated in 2015: Iran

Iran’s top negotiator said the upcoming talks of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)’s commission will not be about the nuclear issue, which has already been negotiated, but will rather focus on the US withdrawal from the 2015 multilateral deal and its illegal sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

-- UN adopts resolution against Israeli settlements in occupied West Bank, Golan Heights

The United Nations overwhelmingly adopted a resolution in condemnation of illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Al-Quds, and Syria’s Golan Heights, and demanded cessation of their construction.
On Tuesday, the United Nations General Assembly Fourth Committee endorsed the resolution by 143-7 votes, with 16 abstentions, Press TV wrote.


-- Facing U.S. Mess in Afghanistan

India hosted senior security officials from Russia, Iran and five Central Asian countries to discuss the situation in Afghanistan on Wednesday.
India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval had invited security chiefs from Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan for the talks.

-- Oil Tanker Detained for Stealing Iranian Oil Freed

Iran has freed an oil tanker that it had confiscated for trying to “steal” its oil in late October following a confrontation with the United States Navy in the Sea of Oman.
Iran’s oil sales are subject to the most draconian U.S. sanctions ever imposed on a country, but the illegal measures have not deterred the Islamic Republic from sending shipments to their customers.
