Firouzabadi said on Tuesday that the disruption at the refueling system of gas stations which lasted a few hours was caused by a cyberattack.
A cyberattack in Iran interrupted petrol distribution at the country’s service stations on Tuesday, the Islamic Republic’s top security body said.
He confirmed that there has been a cyberattack against the petrol distribution computer system, and the interruption in services was due to “disruptions to the computer system”.
“Details of the attack and its source are under investigation,” the official added.
Firouzabadi added that the attacks affected all 4300 gas stations and fuel stations across the country.
