During the past year after the 2020 Beirut explosion, Lebanon has faced a serious challenge in its political, social, and economic areas, Hassan Hanizadeh told IRNA in an interview.
About conditions in Lebanon, the expert said the United States, the Zionist regime of Israel, and some Arab reactionary regimes have created problem for dispatching fuel to Lebanon, the aim behind which is to cripple the deterrent power of Hezbollah and the country's economy.
However, such an anti-Lebanon scenario was foiled vigilantly by the Islamic Republic of Iran as it sent fuel to the Lebanese people, Hanizadeh added.
Despite regional threats against Iranian ships carrying fuel, the Islamic Republic delivered the fuel to Lebanon to prove that it is the sole country that will stand by the Lebanese in difficult conditions, he noted.
Hanizadeh further described civil war as the next scenario for weakening Lebanon's defense power and threatening its stability.
Elsewhere, the political expert appreciated Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah for his speech at the 35th International Conference on Islamic Unity that kicked off in Tehran five days ago.
His speech delivered vigilantly and focused on unity, Hanizadeh stressed.
At the end of his remarks, the expert expressed hope that Lebanon through Hezbollah secretary general's vigilance and Amal Movement's leader would move towards stability.
