The head of Iranian Society for the Promotion of Persian Language and Literature told in the closing ceremony: The conference is an effective work for networking, synergy and knowing Iran.
Stating that Iranology is a specialized field with two important features Dr. Aliasghar Mirbagherifard, said: The first feature is that it is strategic, so all institutions should invest in this field as much as its importance and position.
He described interdisciplinarity as another feature of Iranology expressing: Considering the strategic and interdisciplinary nature, it seems that the work in the field of Iranology is difficult and requires requirements that are practical, structured and purposeful to follow the subject of Iranology.
Stating that this association has a history of 50 years, he also said: In different periods in its evolution, this association has tried to contribute to the promotion of Persian language and literature in since 1971.
Also at the closing ceremony of the conference, the chancellor of Allameh Tabataba’i University said: University is the best source for the development of scientific and cultural diplomacy.
Stating that the first international conference on Iranology in the world provides a basis for scientific dialogue and better understanding of researchers, Dr. Abdullah Motamedi added: Cultural and scientific diplomacy is based on these interactions.
Presenting 60 articles by domestic and foreign researchers on Iranology
The first international biennial conference on Iranology in the world was hosted by the University of Gilan with the aim of creating more scientific links between researchers and Iranologists, identifying and supporting top researchers and studies in the field of Iranology and examining the scope of Iranian studies and Persian language chairs in the world and creating motivation in young researchers.
This 2 day conference was held on the fields of Iranology in universities and scientific institutions of the world, Persian language and literature, literary criticism and comparative literature in Iranological studies, history and civilization of Iran in Iranology studies, Iranologists and schools of Iranology in the world, archaeological and Iranian studies, Persian manuscripts, translation and studies of Iranology and perspectives of Iranian studies.
