Iran’s humanitarian aid cargo arrives in Afghanistan

Kabul, IRNA – Iran’s humanitarian aid to those affected by the terrorist attack in Kandahar, Afghanistan, arrived in the region, the Islamic Republic of Iran Consulate in Kandahar said on Tuesday.

The plane carrying Iran’s humanitarian aid also transferred a number of injured people to Iran after offloading aid cargo, the consulate said.

Iran has previously sent planeloads of humanitarian aid, containing medicine, blankets, food, and warm cloths, to the victims of terrorist attack in Kunduz, in addition to several consignments of aids transferred through ground roads.

Afghanistan has seen two terrorist attacks by ISIS suicide bombers at Shia mosques in Kunduz and Kandahar in recent weeks.

The bombings have killed over 80 people and wounded hundreds of others.
