Amirabdollahian made the remarks in an interview with Lebanon's Al-Manar TV network on Saturday evening.
At his remarks, Amirabdollahian said that Iran attaches great importance to Lebanon's independence and sovereignty.
The foreign minister, who arrived in the Lebanese capital on Thursday, congratulated the Lebanese people on formation of new government in the country.
Despite the economic pressures and the US unfair sanctions, Islamic Republic is a great country which is always ready to help Lebanon, he noted.
Turning to his meeting with Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the foreign minister said it was fruitful.
He went on to say that Islamic Republic uses Nasrallah's views about regional issues.
He further described Nasrallah as the great political figure across the region.
Iran has helped Lebanon in difficult conditions, the foreign minister said while referring to Islamic Republic's oil help to Lebanon which has caused appreciation from secretary general of Hezbollah.
Talks with Nasrallah have always been useful as he has deep understanding of regional peace and security, Amirabdollahian added.
In Beirut, the Iranian foreign minister has also met with Lebanese President Michel Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
Upon arrival in Beirut on October 7, Amirabdollahian said the Islamic Republic of Iran will spare no efforts to help Lebanon when the country requests.
Amirabdollahian's Beirut visit took place after his trip to Moscow.
Later, the foreign minister arrived in Damascus on Saturday.
