In his message, President Raisi expressed hope that expansion of consultation and cooperation would lead as before to strengthening bilateral relations and ensuring international and regional peace and stability.
The president also hoped that Kishida Fumio's appointment would open a new chapter in Tehran-Tokyo friendly ties.
He assured that Iran-Japan cooperation would increase in all areas, particularly in trade and economy, as the two enjoy historical and friendly relations.
Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been in line with reinforcement of international and regional peace and security alongside justice and faithfulness to the international commitments and agreements, the president wrote.
The president went on to say that the Islamic Republic respects independent countries' national sovereignty and nations' rights.
Concluding his message, President Raisi wished prosperity and success for the new Japanese premier and the Japanese people as well.
On October 4, Japanese lawmakers elected Kishida Fumio, 64, as the new prime minister for the country.
