Amirabdollahian: JCPOA negotiation sides should act according to their commitments

Moscow, IRNA – Minister of foreign affairs here on Wednesday pointing out that Iran is harmonized with Russia on issues related to Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), expressed hope that in near future the negotiation sides in Vienna will act according to their commitments.

Hossein Amirabdollahian who was speaking with the IRNA and IRIB correspondents at the end of his Moscow visit said that he has had talks with the Russian side on method of return to the Vienna negotiations, and ways for cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is truly ready for negotiations and hopes in near future the other sides will return to observing their entire commitments and not hesitate in doing so," he reiterated.

The foreign minister said that if every side will be acting in accordance with their JCPOA commitments and this should be verified by the Iranian nation, Iran, too, will just like before act according to its commitments.

Negotiation path open on south Caucasus misunderstandings

The minister of foreign affairs, meanwhile, referred to his talks with Russian side on the presence of the terrorists and the Zionists in the southern parts of the Caucasus region, arguing: The intrigues by the aliens, the Zionists, and the terrorists in the south Caucasus region will create difficulties for our good neighbors, Armenia and Azerbaijan Republic.

“The literature used by some official authorities and media in that region is not constructive, and only assists the objectives of the region’s enemies,” he said.

Amirabdollahian said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is patiently and sagaciously monitoring the deeds of neighbors, adding: The entire regional countries should pave the path of dialogues and wise acts aimed at resolving the disputes so that the region will benefit from security and stability.

“The important point is that the Caucasus region’s geopolitical and geographical conditions must not be harmed due to aliens' interventions,” he said.

Hossein Amirabdollahian who had on Tuesday traveled to Russia atop a delegation left Moscow for the Lebanese capital city, Beirut, on Wednesday evening.
