Iran's Foreign Minister leaves Moscow for Beirut

Moscow, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, who was on a visit to Moscow, left the Russian capital for Beirut on Wednesday evening.

He aims to congratulate the Lebanese people and government on the formation of a new government in the country.

Meeting with Lebanese officials is also on the agenda of the Iranian foreign minister’s visit to Beirut.

During his stay in Moscow, Amirabdollahian met with his Russian counterpart where the two foreign ministers discussed a wide range of bilateral and regional issues.

Speaking in a joint press conference after the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister said that Iran and Russia are scheduled to draft a strategic cooperation document soon.

He said that Iran and Russia have the same viewpoints about regional developments.
