Raisi made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran with the Austrian new ambassador to Iran, Wolf Dietrich Heim, where the new ambassador submitted a copy of his credentials to the Iranian president.
He said that Iran-Austria relations should not be affected by others and should rather benefit the interests of both nations.
President Raisi voiced Iran's readiness to boost economic relations with Austria and other countries, noting that nothing can prevent Iran from developing such relations.
The new Austrian ambassador, for his part, said that Austria is seeking to expand bilateral relations with Iran in all areas, particularly in the field of financial supply and economic exchanges.
Heim said that the two countries have been able to finalize some joint projects in spite of sanctions.
He also urged the need for further expansion of relations and bilateral exchanges between Iran and Austria.
