In continuation of his bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 76th UN General Assembly Hossein Amirabdollahian had a meeting with Bui Thanh Son, the foreign minister of Vietnam during which bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest were discussed.
Amirabdollahian voiced Iran’s readiness for forwarding the vaccines produced in Iran to assist Vietnam in its campaign against coronavirus disease, as well as Iran’s readiness for cooperation with Vietnam in industrial, agricultural and tourism fields.
He also said that it is expected that the joint bilateral economic commission will be held as soon as possible.
The Vietnamese foreign minister, too, in the meeting presented a report on the latest status of coronavirus in his country and the emerged difficulties, and welcomed Iran’s proposal for cooperation in economic, investment, scientific and technological fields.
