Iranian, Italian universities sign MoU

Bushehr, IRNA – Iran's Persian Gulf University and Italy's University of Sannio (Università degli Studi del Sannio) have signed an agreement on cooperation.

The agreement is aimed to boost scientific cooperation with the Italian university, a senior official at Persian Gulf University, Arash Khosravi, told IRNA.

Italian researchers and universities are Persian Gulf University's first international partners, Khosravi said.

A few days ago, the agreement has been officialized by signature of the deans of Persian Gulf University and University of Sannio, Abdolmajid Mosleh and Gerardo Canfora respectively, he added.

Several plans have been predicted for development of cultural and scientific cooperation between the two universities, Khosravi underlined.

He went on to say that 300 foreign students from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, and some other countries study at Persian Gulf University for long term periods , but the Iranian university hosts groups of foreign students from different parts of the world, including Europe, for short term periods annually.
