Hisako Tesonada has spent 30 years for learning Persian language and literature as well as Iranian calligraphy.
She was granted a commendation plaque and the Divan of Hafez by Iranian cultural attaché Hossein Divsalar.
Divsalar said the historical, cultural and long-standing relations between Iran and Japan are the result of the efforts made by Iranian scholars, Islamologists, professors of Persian language and literature, and artists from Japan and Iranian scholars of Japanese studies.
He also referred to holding Persian Language courses in Japan and lauded Hisako Tesonada contributions in this regard.
Meanwhile, Tesonada appreciated Iranian people, the cultural attaché office and Iran Calligraphers Association for supporting educational and art activities in Japan.
Some of Tesonada’s works have been showcased in Raqs-e Qalam exhibition in Iran.
