Parl’t starts to decide about proposed ministers

Tehran, IRNA – Majlis (the Iranian Parliament) started the first session to discuss the proposed ministers’ qualifications in the presence of President Ebrahim Raisi on Saturday.

Vice President Mohammad Mokhber and head of the presidential office Gholam Hossein Emsaili have also attended the meeting.

Ayatollah Raisi was elected as Iran’s 13th president in June 18 presidential election. The inauguration ceremony of Raisi was held on August 5th in the presence of domestic and foreign guests in Majlis.

Nezameddin Mousavi,  the spokesman of Majlis' presiding board had said on Wednesday that the procedure would take a few days, at the end of which the vote-taking would determine whether the President's picks would hold ministerial offices or not.
