Tehran, IRNA – Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi stressed the need to further activate all capacities for boosting cooperation with the African continent.

He made the remarks on Friday in a meeting with the speaker of the National Assembly of Guinea-Bissau Cipriano Cassamá who is here to participate in Raisi's inauguration as Iran's new president which was held Thursday.

Raisi further emphasized the priority of developing relations with the African continent in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said in the new government, all capacities for cooperation with African countries will be seriously activated.

He also pointed to the valuable material and manpower capacity African countries have and and said that Tehran is willing to pursue a policy of developing comprehensive relations with African countries including Guinea-Bissau to serve the mutual interest.
