WHO provides North Khorasan with medical equipment

Bojnourd, IRNA - The World Health Organization (WHO) has provided hospitals in Bojnourd and Shirvan, North Khorasan province, with various medical equipment during the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), a provincial official said.

Hassan Sohrabi, director of supervision department of medical equipment at the North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, told IRNA on Thursday that the medical equipment has been dedicated to Imam Hassan (AS), Imam Ali (AS) and Bent al-Hoda hospitals in Bojnourd as well as Imam Khomeini hospital in Shirvan.

The equipment dedicated to Imam Hassan (AS) hospital consist of ECMO, MRI, portable X-Ray machine, Ultrasound Echo device, Echocardiography and CT scan, he noted.

The Organization also dispatched a CRRT machine, a portable X-Ray device to Imam Ali (AS) hospital and a Laryngoscope device to Bent al-Hoda hospital and Imam Khomeini hospital in Bojnourd and Shirvan respectively, the official added.

There are some other donations, including an Ultrasound Echo device and a CT scan device for Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani hospital in Shirvan, another CT scan device for Poursina hospital in Ashkhaneh, a liquid handling device and a Nucleic acid and antigen detection test machine for the provincial health department, he mentioned.

There are 11 hospitals with 1,444 beds in North Khorasan province. Some 5,000 staff are providing patients with medical services in the northwestern province. 
Some 350 general physicians and 256 specialist doctors are active in North Khorasan with a population of around 863,000 inhabitants.
