Current level of ties with Ghana and other African countries not sufficient: Raisi

Tehran, IRNA – President Ebrahim Raisi in a meeting with visiting tourism minister of Ghana on Wednesday appreciated his Ghanaian counterpart’s congratulation message, saying: I ask you to convey my massage on Islamic Republic of Iran’s will to expand economic ties with Ghana.

President Raisi referring to the Ghanaian tourism minister’s dissatisfaction with the level of his country’s economic interactions with Iran, adding that the decreased level of ties with Ghana and the other African countries is not acceptable for the 13th government of the Islamic Republic of Iran as I will spend all my efforts aimed at improvement of comprehensive ties will all African countries.

Ibrahim Muhammad, too, in the meeting conveyed the warm congratulations of his country’s president on the occasion of the coming to power of President Raisi’s government and expressed hope that by elimination of the obstacles, the relations between Iran and Ghana will expand comprehensively, and especially more than ever before in the economic field.

Minister Muhammad referred to his country’s appropriate geographical status in the west side of the African continent, reiterating: Ghana enjoys an excellent position for economic activities and can serve as a gate for Iran’s entry to the entire African continent.
