-- Rouhani: Moderation, constructive interaction remedies for Iran’s woes

In his last speech as the seventh president of Iran, Hassan Rouhani described moderation and constructive interaction as the only suitable approaches for addressing problems.
In an address on his last day in office, Rouhani said on Monday that his prescription for the country’s problems is the same as what it was eight years ago. “I reiterate that the way to save the country is moderation at home and abroad, as well as constructive interaction at home and abroad,” he noted.

-- Iran, Tajikistan sign MoU to develop bourse cooperation

Tehran Stock Exchange and Tajikistan’s Central Asian Stock Exchange (CASE) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop bourse cooperation.
It was signed by the managing directors of the two countries’ stock exchanges on the sidelines of the conference of Iran-Tajikistan Trade Relations which was held virtually.

-- First Iran International Handicrafts Festival, a prominent event to strengthen this field: Minister

Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Ali-Asghar Mounesan, during an inauguration ceremony of handicrafts festival, highlighted the international festival as an outstanding event to strengthen the position of handicrafts.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the First Iran International Handicrafts Festival via a videoconference, Mounesan said that holding this great event will be the starting point for the continuation of positive changes. The First Iran International Handicrafts Festival hosted by Isfahan aims to promote magnificent Iranian handicrafts through a vivid and deep outlook.


-- Russian Envoy: No Alternative to JCPOA

Russia’s lead negotiator at the Vienna talks on the revival of a 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and major world powers says it is not possible to reach a new agreement on the Iranian nuclear program.
In an interview with Russian newspaper Izvestia, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s Permanent Ambassador to International Organizations in Vienna, said there is no alternative to the restoration of the nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in its original form.

-- Pakistani FM in Contact With Iran on Afghanistan

Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday stressed the need for direct talks between the Kabul government and the Taliban, saying Islamabad is in contact with key regional players, including Iran, to advance the Afghan peace process.
“We are in contact with Afghanistan’s neighbors and important regional actors, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran. We are talking to them and we are looking for cooperation to advance the peace process,” he said during a press conference in the eastern city of Multan.

-- Iran Warns of Prompt Response to Any Adventure

Iran will respond promptly to any threat against its security, a foreign ministry spokesman said on Monday, after the United States, the occupying regime of Israel and Britain blamed Tehran for an attack on an Israeli-managed tanker off the coast of Oman.
Tehran has denied any involvement in the attack on Thursday in which two crew members - a Briton and a Romanian - were killed.
The United States and Britain said on Sunday they would work with their allies to respond to the attack on the Mercer Street, a Liberian-flagged, Japanese-owned petroleum product tanker managed by Zionist-owned Zodiac Maritime.


-- AEK complete signing of Iran captain Hajisafi

Greek football team AEK Athens have completed the signing of Iran and Sepahan winger Ehsan Hajisafi. The 31-year-old player has joined AEK from Sepahan as a free agent player on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Hajisafi will wear No. 26 in AEK Athens. He has already played for Greek teams Panionios and Olympiacos. Hajisafi has joined his countryman Karim Ansarifard at AEK. He is a member of Iran national football team since 2008.

-- 80 technological projects implemented for water management

Knowledge-based companies have implemented over 80 technological projects to develop new methods for optimizing water consumption over the past three years, IRNA reported on Monday.

Supported by the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, projects are defined for the development of new methods for water extraction in order to increase the use of technologies to optimize the amount of water consumed in the country. Another goal is to develop employment, in addition to water and drought technologies.

-- Salt mummies’ leather belongings restored, reorganized  

Remains of leather belongings of the ancient salt men, found in Iran’s Chehrabad Salt Mine in Zanjan province, have recently been restored and reorganized.  

The project, which was carried out by Iran's Research Center for Conservation of Cultural Relics, aimed to protect and preserve the properties, considered the oldest leather objects ever discovered in the country, the head of the project has announced.

In this project, it was important to identify and transform objects that were used mainly for research and study into museum objects, CHTN quoted Narges Afzalipur as saying on Monday.
