Iran launches first phase of Siraf Pars port

Tehran, IRNA - Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum on Sunday inaugurated the first phase of Siraf Pars port on the Persian Gulf coast upon an order by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Siraf Pars port is the second largest gas export terminal of productions of South Pars field that was built with $350 million investment. The port has been built in an area of 360 hectares with the goal of loading and exporting liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as well as storing and exporting sulfur produced by Pars 2 refinery in the Kangan area, Bushehr Province.

The port is located in the southwestern province of Bushehr. It has two wharfs dedicated to exports of LPG and sulfur.
