The consignment included 1,120,000 doses of vaccine, which arrived in Iran through Imam Khomeini International Airport and was delivered to the Ministry of Health to vaccinate the people.
A total of 11,520,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been imported to the country by the Iranian Red Crescent so far.
According to Iranian Health Ministry, 9,552,526 Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and 2,687,311 people have so far received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
On April 3, Ministry of Health permitted the Iranian Red Crescent to import coronavirus vaccines to the country.
