-- Vienna talks must await Iran’s democratic transition: Chief negotiator

Iran's top negotiator said on Saturday that the next round of talks in Vienna to revive the 2015 nuclear deal must wait until the new Iranian government takes office in August.

"We're in a transition period as a democratic transfer of power is underway in our capital. Vienna talks must thus obviously await our new administration. This is what every democracy demands," Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi tweeted on Saturday.

Iran has held talks since April in the Austrian capital with Germany, France, Britain, China and Russia to restore the troubled nuclear agreement, officially called the JCPOA.

-- OPEC+ must not ignore Iran's oil return to global market: Oil minister

Iran’s Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zanganeh on Sunday said that OPEC+ cannot turn a blind eye to the return of the country’s oil production to global markets after the imposed sanctions are removed.

The world's leading oil producers agreed on Sunday to continue to modestly boost output from August, after the United Arab Emirates had blocked a deal earlier this month.

Zanganeh said that the 18th session was procrastinated due to the UAE opposition 20 days ago.

-- Museum of the Republic to be set in Tehran

A museum on the history of republicanism in Iran will be established in Tehran, announced an official from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts.
The director of museums and historical properties at the ministry told IRNA that the Museum of the Republic will be established in a part of the Communications Museum in Tehran to introduce the history of republicanism as well as the presidents.
Last week the First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri announced the government’s decision to create 10 organizational positions in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts for the Museum of the Presidents’ Memorial.


-- China to Work With Iran on Fighting Unilateralism

China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi says Beijing is ready to cooperate with Iran in a joint fight against unilateralism.
In a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif, the top Chinese diplomat said Beijing and Tehran would work together to better safeguard the interests of the two nations as well as other developing countries.
He added that the administration of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has made positive contributions over the past eight years to the development of bilateral relations, saying Beijing would continue to further strengthen communication with the next Iranian administration of President-elect Ebrahim Raisi.

-- Iran Reports Single-Digit Jobless Rates for Most Provinces

Figures by the Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) show jobless rate in 20 out of 31 provinces in the country was single-digit in the quarter to June 21.
SCI figures showed that the number of Iranian provinces with single-digit unemployment rates had increased by four compared to the similar quarter in 2020.
Lowest quarterly unemployment rate was reported in the province of Hamadan at 5.6%. The region of nearly two million people is a bustling hub of agriculture in western Iran.

-- ‘At the End of Evin’ Crowned Best Asian Film in South Korea

The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) in South Korea has awarded Iranian feature ‘At the End of Evin’.
Co-directed by Mohammad and Mehdi Torabbeigi, the Iranian movie received Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF) Award for Best Asian Film at the 2021 edition of the BIFAN.
Produced by Amir Samavati, the 80-minute film was screened at the World Fantastic Red section of the BIFAN on July 11 and 15.

 COVIRAN BAREKAT coronavirus vaccine proved effective against Indian strain, Hojjat Niki-Maleki head of the information center of Headquarters for Executing the Order of the Imam twitted on Saturday.

COVIRAN BAREKAT, the first coronavirus vaccine made by researchers at the Headquarters for Executing the Order of the Imam, was unveiled on December 29, 2020, and received the license for public use on June 14.

-- “The Crab”, “May She Rest in Peace” win awards at Dresden filmfest

 Iranian films “The Crab” and “May She Rest in Peace” were honored with awards at the 33rd Dresden International Short Film Festival in Germany, the organizers announced on Saturday evening.

“The Crab” directed by Shiva Sadeq-Asadi won the Golden Horseman of the Audience in the International Competition and the Special Mention of the International Competition Youth Jury.

The animation produced by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults is about a shy schoolboy who is interested in performing in a play with his school’s theater troupe. But the only part offered to him is to play the role of a crab.

-- Legal boundaries of UNESCO-designated Hyrcanian Forests declared

 Legal boundaries of the UNESCO-designated Hyrcanian Forests have recently been declared to the governor-general of Gilan province.

Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Ali-Asghar Mounesan announced the legal boundaries on Sunday in a letter to the governor-general of the northern province, IRNA reported.

According to the communiqué, the demarcated forests and their properties are under the supervision of Gilan’s cultural heritage, tourism, and handicrafts department, and any encroachment on the area and violation of the protection rules is a crime and the perpetrator is subject to legal penalties.
