FM Spox sympathizes with Iraq over hospital fire

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh sympathized with families of the victims of the fire in Imam Hussein Hospital in Nasiriyah, Iraq

Khatibzadeh condoled with the Iraqi government and people and wished immediate recovery for those who were injured.

He expressed Iran's readiness for rendering medical aid to Iraq.

Earlier, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Karim Hemmati offered readiness for sending relief items to Iraq to help them with regard to a deadly fire in Imam Hussein Hospital in Nasiriyah.

Based on unofficial reports, fire in Imam Hossein Hospital in Nasiriyah has so far claimed the lives of 60 people and many other were trapped in the hospital.

Many of the COVID19 patients were hospitalized at the accident site.
