Iranian ambassador, Iraqi health minister discuss traffic of Iranian pilgrims

Baghdad, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Iraq Iraj Masjedi and care-taker of Iraq’s Ministry of Health and Environment Hani al-Oqabi here on Sunday discussed bilateral cooperation in the health field, as well as resuming the traffic of the Iranian pilgrims to Iraq's holy shrines.

The two sides in the meeting surveyed the various aspects of the activities of the Supreme National Iraqi Health Committee on regulating traffic of the pilgrims to the Iraqi holy shrines.


According to ratification by the Supreme National Iraqi Health Committee, on condition of full observation of the health protocols, the foreign pilgrims of Iraqi holy shrines in holy cities of Karbala, Najaf, Kadhimiya, and Samarra can resume their pilgrimage trips.
