Iran's defense minister condoles with Filipino counterpart on military plane crash

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami in a message to his Filipino counterpart, Secretary of National Defense Delfin Lorenzana, extended his condolences over the death of a group of soldiers in the recent military plane crash in the Philippines.

Accordingly, 96 passengers were on board the Philippines Air Force transport plane that crashed on Sunday, from whom at least 50 people were killed.

In this message, General Hatami expressed sorrow with his counterpart over the death of the soldiers and prayed to God to grant patience to the bereaved families of the victims.

According to media, 49 soldiers were injured in the crash.
