"Operation: Al-Quds Sword" seminar opens in Qom 

Qom, IRNA - The International Seminar of 'Operation Al-Quds Sword; Resistance Movement and Defending al-Aqsa Mosque' has been opened in Qom, where prominent figures from different countries made speeches in inaugural ceremony.

Ali Khayyat, deputy for international affairs of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, addressed the audience in the seminar on Thursday that it is necessary to review the details of honorable triumph of the Palestinian resistance movement in 12-day war against the Zionist regime.

Thus, the seminar has been planned to provide the opportunity to discuss aspects of the victorious achievements in fighting the Zionist occupiers, he noted.

Khayyat went on to say that the event is scheduled to provide scholars from more than 10 Islamic countries with panels to deliver their speeches on recent developments in al-Quds.

The Muslim figures come from Palestine, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Oman, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Kenya and Iran.

He further said that Representation of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Seyyed Abdol-Fattah Navab is going to make a speech and a video message by Bahrain's top spiritual leader

Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim to the seminar will be read in the morning session.

Some 40 articles in Persian and Arabic languages will be inaugurated in the International Seminar of 'Operation Al-Quds Sword; Resistance Movement and Defending al-Aqsa Mosque,' he added.

An outbreak of fighting between Israel and Palestinians started on 10 May 2021, which continued until a ceasefire came into effect on 21 May.
